THE OPINION OF THE GRADUATES: What they said about us
We asked our graduates to describe how attending our postgraduate program helped them and what tools it provided them. Zoi Gizarióti: Biologist in a Spermatology Laboratory / Graduated in 2025 One of the greatest advantages of this particular postgraduate program is the completion of practical training, which is also the main reason I chose this specific postgraduate program. However, in the field of clinical Embryology, the job search has become a very demanding process as prior experience is required and, by general agreement, it is usually gained unpaid. The Center where I completed my internship was fully staffed, so I could not be absorbed. I continue to work in the Laboratory for the fifth year, while simultaneously planning my future professional steps in the consulting sector with further studies. Elita Papanikolaou:Physical education teacher and I am involved in the design and implementation of exercise programs aimed at health, functionality, and improving quality of life / Graduated 2026 My postgraduate studies were a decisive turning point in my professional career, as they provided me with the scientific background and tools to approach exercise with greater precision and substantiation. At the same time, they opened the way for my work with clinical populations, enhancing my ability to design personalized and safe interventions based on scientific data. The connection between theory and practice cultivated within the program remains a central pillar of my professional activity to this day. Stamatis Mantikas: Reference Laboratory Sales Manager / Graduated 2022 The postgraduate studies gave me an immediate boost in my professional career, even before their completion. Konstantinos Metaxotos: Owner of a Physiotherapy Center / Graduated in 2022 It helped me both cognitively and psychologically, as well as in terms of title. Personally, I learned a lot of physiology that I did not know. Heraklis Lefas: Rheumatology Resident at GNA 'Gennimatas' / Graduated in 2023 The courses were a brief review of the basic elements of physiology that we learned in Medical School, so their reminder was certainly interesting. As a doctor, the professional path is somewhat predetermined, so the MSc did not contribute decisively anywhere, but I would say that it opened the way for a future doctorate. Harcout Bernard: Trainer-Physiotherapist (PhD candidate)/Graduated in 2021 My postgraduate journey was enjoyable and gave me motivation and knowledge for scientific research in the field of physiotherapy and exercise, and my presentation at an international conference also contributed to my current educational professional path. Spyridoula Spyridonidi: Biology Teacher in secondary education/Graduated in 2021 The master's program, apart from the broad range of knowledge it provided, significantly helped in my hiring as a substitute teacher and also in my more thorough and holistic teaching approach. Antonia Timini: Pharmacy Owner/Graduated in 2022 With an academic background in Pharmacy and specialization in Molecular and Applied Physiology with a focus on Therapeutic Exercise, my professional career focuses on bridging pharmaceutical science with the promotion of health through exercise. I combine knowledge of pharmacology and biological mechanisms with practical exercise interventions, contributing to the holistic management of health and supporting patients with chronic conditions. My goal is to utilize this interdisciplinary approach to improve quality of life and enhance the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions. Anthí Sotirianákou: Ophthalmology Resident at GNA 'Gennimatas' (PhD candidate)/Graduated in 2022 Helped me better understand the pathophysiological mechanisms of diseases and regenerative medicine in ophthalmology Ilias Tsinokou: Pathology Resident (PhD candidate)/Graduated in 2025 In-depth understanding of molecular mechanisms, research methodology, and further professional development Fotini Tsaleza: Physiotherapist, Scientific manager of a physiotherapy clinic / Graduated in 2023. My postgraduate studies gave me the opportunity to study the effect of therapeutic exercise on the physiology of special populations. As a result, over the following years, I specialized clinically in chronic and persistent pain, pain in mental illness, and pelvic pain. Charalampos Roibas: Owner of the center "Child-Recreation-Sports" / Graduated in 2023. My postgraduate studies provided the opportunity to develop the employment sector in a new field. Maria Androutsopoulou: Member of the research team at the Unit of Reproductive Physiology and Clinical Embryology, Physiology Laboratory, Medical School of NKUA (PhD candidate)/Graduated in 2025. My postgraduate studies in the MSc program 'Molecular and Applied Physiology,' specializing in Clinical Embryology, contributed decisively to my scientific and professional development. Through the specialized training and research experience I gained, I developed my knowledge and skills in the field of reproductive physiology and clinical embryology in depth. My participation in a research team already during the course of the program was a significant opportunity for continuing my academic journey at the doctoral level, while simultaneously strengthening my scientific training and my professional direction in the field of clinical embryology. Katerina Kitopoulou: PhD candidate in the neurogenetics and aging unit / Assistant geneticist in the cardiogenetics unit of the 1st University Cardiology Clinic, GNA 'Hippocrates' / Graduated in 2023 Postgraduate studies helped me find a very good laboratory, in which I completed my thesis and then started a PhD in the Physiology Laboratory. Through this path, however, I realized that the academic direction is ultimately not what I want to pursue professionally. Alexandros Giannopoulos: Physical Education Teacher / Graduated in 2023 Undeniable enrichment and expansion of my knowledge and approach to my profession. Asimina Lymperi: Clinical Pathologist at a private center / Graduated in 2023 I understood the molecular basis of diseases and the latest data on it. Knowing how exercise can help in the course of a disease, I can recommend that examinees add exercise to their daily routine and seek a specialized professional to monitor them. At the same time, I emphasize the value of a personalized approach to exercise combined with nutrition, provided by appropriate professionals, especially if there are chronic illnesses. Finally, personally, I gained an additional reason to systematically incorporate proper exercise into my life. Katsidi Christina: Auxiliary staff at a public hospital laboratory (PhD candidate/Graduated 2021) The master's degree helped me substantially. It helped me get hired for my first job at a genetic diagnosis center in the field of Cytogenetics and at the start of my PhD in the field of Cytogenetics. Anna Arseni: Coach of Artistic Gymnastics - Acrobatic Gymnastics (choreographer)/Graduated in 2026 The postgraduate studies in the field of Molecular and Applied Physiology with a specialization in therapeutic exercise have significantly contributed to my professional career, as they combine theoretical knowledge with practical applications in health. Specialization in the use of exercise as a means of prevention and rehabilitation. Possibility of employment in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, gyms with medical supervision, or research institutes. Development of skills in the evaluation and design of personalized exercise programs. Enhancement of my CV with a modern and continuously developing field. Additionally, it constitutes an important qualification in the field of health, exercise, and rehabilitation, opening up more professional opportunities. Evangelia Zania: School Nurse - Special Educational Staff (S.E.S.) / Primary Education of Eastern Attica / Graduated in 2022 My postgraduate studies substantially contributed to my professional career, enhancing my scientific background and further developing my professional and clinical skills as a nurse. Additionally, they constituted a significant qualification for my professional placement and employment as a school nurse within the framework of Primary Education, broadening the prospects for professional advancement in the fields of education and health. Athanasios Moustoyiannis: Academic Coordinator of the Department of Sports Sciences and Coaching, New York College / Graduated in 2014 (Doctor of Medicine - National and Kapodistrian University of Athens) The academic professional development largely stems from the course of studies, both at the undergraduate and postgraduate level. Asterios Kokkonakis: Scientific Associate of the Pharmacology Laboratory, Medical School, NKUA, Translational Neurology Group / Graduated in 2025 (PhD candidate) My postgraduate studies contributed to acquiring substantial and formal qualifications, enabling me to participate in doctoral programs. At the same time, they provided me with additional specialized knowledge in specific fields of the discipline, as well as in more practical applications at the research level, but also in physical exercise. This experience contributed significantly to strengthening my cognitive training, opening up new scientific prospects. Overall, it was a valuable experience that added knowledge and resources for my future development. Nancy Zoi: Professor / Graduated 2024 During my postgraduate studies, I deepened my knowledge in the scientific field of embryology, acquiring both theoretical knowledge and practical training. Although these particular studies have not yet contributed to my professional career, they have significantly strengthened my cognitive and intellectual background.
